We place employees in positions all across the state. As such, travel throughout Alaska will most likely be part of your job.

Student Internship Program

Colaska’s internship program provides students with practical construction experience through hands-on project involvement. This will supplement your education while also building important skills. Intern opportunities are available within each of Colaska’s construction divisions.

The Job

From your first day to your last, you will have projects and responsibilities assigned to you. Supervisors and project staff will design a workload specifically suited to your needs. We will teach you not only construction management, but also how to complete a quality project. 

Experience

Your assignments will allow you to develop technically, broaden your practical background and explore areas you find interesting. During your internship, you may be assigned to work with a union construction crew in a field situation. This field experience will provide you with a hands-on, fundamental approach to the construction industry.

Hands-On

You may also be assigned as an assistant in project management and engineering, project supervision or estimating. Experience in these areas will provide you with knowledge key to understanding how our organization operates.
